Meet Our Veterinarians

Earl H. Janney, DVM

Dr. Earl H. Janney is a small-animal practitioner who opened Northside Animal Hospital in 1970.

A native of Macon, Georgia, Dr. Janney says that as a young boy he always had a special interest in the care and training of his pets and hunting dogs. Becoming a veterinarian allowed him to pursue what has been a lifelong interest and passion for animal care, the joys of which, he says, revolve around, “Getting my patients well and the challenge of a difficult case.”

One of his most memorable cases, he adds, was removing four quarters from the stomach of a Dachshund named “Dollar.”

In 1961, Dr. Janney entered the University of Georgia where he undertook a pre-veterinary curriculum. By 1965 he had earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agriculture and graduated as a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Concurrent to Dr. Janney’s senior undergraduate year, he entered the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. His areas of particular professional interest include internal medicine as well as soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and the South Georgia Veterinary Medical Association.

Upon graduation, he acted as a County Extension Agent for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service.

By 2003, Dr. Graham’s love of animals had led him to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where he earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. During his time in veterinary school, he regularly made the Dean’s List, won a Semester Achievement Award, and was a two-time recipient of the school’s Veterinary Colleague Award.
