Founded in 1970, Northside Animal Hospital is dedicated to providing pets and their human family members with compassionate, high quality veterinary care in Valdosta, GA.
Our veterinarians and their team of technicians and support staff are extremely knowledgeable and caring; we work hard to ensure that your pet receives the best care possible. We are a full-service clinic that provides a wide range of veterinary services, including general animal health care, dental care, surgical care, diagnostic testing, as well as grooming and boarding services.
As animal lovers ourselves, we recognize the special bond humans have with their furry family members. We strive to treat every pet that comes into our hospital as if they were our very own. Meet Our Team

Myron D. Graham, DVM
Myron D. Graham, DVM
Dr. Myron D. Graham is a General Practitioner who has been with Northside Animal Hospital since February of 2009.
A native of Homerville, Georgia, Dr. Graham has spent his life caring for animals in one way or another. As a youth, he was an active member of The National FFA Organization and participant in 4-H livestock programs. Then in high school and college, he worked as a Veterinary Technician for Dr. Kenneth T. Blount of Waycross, Georgia.
In 1994, Dr. Graham entered the University of Georgia and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture (BSA) in Animal Science in 1998. While a student he was a member of the Golden Key Society. He was also a member of the Horse Judging Team and the Collegiate FFA. Upon graduation, he acted as a County Extension Agent for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service.
By 2003, Dr. Graham’s love of animals had led him to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where he earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. During his time in veterinary school, won a Semester Achievement Award, and was a two-time recipient of the school’s Veterinary Colleague Award. His areas of particular veterinary interest include small animal critical care and small-animal internal medicine.
Dr. Graham is also a member of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the South Georgia Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Graham and his wife Emily are the proud parents of two wonderful children. Harper and Walker enjoy helping their dad at the clinic and taking care of their horses, Bella and Gracie. The couple also has a Golden Retriever named Gabby. When not working or spending time with his family, Dr. Graham enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling.

Dr. Amy Purvis, DVM
Dr. Amy Purvis, Veterinarian
Dr. Amy Purvis graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. She was born and raised in Waco, Texas and received her BS in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University. While at Oklahoma State, she was on the polo team and participated in the Horseman’s Association. While at Colorado State University, Dr. Purvis was a member of several professional clubs and served as an offficer for the Student Chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. Dr. Purvis has practiced primarily small animal medicine, with the occasional horse, cow or goat in Washington State since gradduating in 2020. Dr. Purvis is a member of AVMA and GVMA and looks forward to getting involved in the local community. Dr. Purvis and her husband Ryan enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time outdoors.
